This notice explains the privacy-aware visitor analytics used on etapretoriafc.co.za and the choices available to visitors.
Who is responsible
eta Pretoria Football Club determines why and how website information is processed. Privacy requests may be sent to Pretoria@etacollege.com or made by calling +27 66 476 0739.
What optional analytics collects
Only after analytics consent, the website records an anonymous browser identifier, pages and buttons used, form started or abandoned status, visit dates and duration, referral and campaign source, approximate city, province and country, and device and browser information. Exact GPS location is not collected.
When a visitor becomes identifiable
If a consenting visitor successfully submits an enquiry, application or assessment booking, the prior browser journey may be linked to the name, surname, email, contact number and residential area supplied in that form. Medical information, dates of birth and typed form contents are excluded from PostHog analytics.
Purpose and lawful basis
The information is used to understand website performance, recruitment catchments, campaign effectiveness, incomplete forms and completed applications, enquiries and assessment bookings. Optional analytics relies on consent and can be refused or withdrawn without affecting essential website functions.
Service provider and storage
PostHog acts as the analytics service provider. Analytics data is processed in PostHog Cloud in the United States and is protected through access controls and the applicable service arrangements. Session replay is disabled. Website analytics events are configured for retention for up to 12 months.
Children
The club serves young players. A visitor under 18 should ask a parent or guardian before allowing analytics or submitting personal information. A competent person may request access, correction or deletion on behalf of a child.
Your choices and rights
Choose Essential only to keep PostHog off. Use the Privacy button on any page to change the choice. A data subject may request access, correction or deletion, withdraw consent, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator.
